- Perform a contract review (including all terms and conditions) independently and in accordance with the rules of engagement. Identify deviations from standard language and approve or reject contract terms in accordance with existing playbooks and guidelines. Where appropriate propose appropriate contractual set-up and counter-terms utilizing existing learnings.
- Support and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure contracts adhere to our contract management policies and procedures as well as guidance received from SMEs representing Data Protection, Trade Compliance and similar areas.
- Keep a firm hand on request lifecycle, execute action points, perform follow ups, inform about contract status and respond to queries in a timely manner, following defined SLAs
- Advise stakeholders on company contracting process, explain contract terms and conditions and make recommendations based on company policies and standards
- Work with internal business stakeholders, Legal Department and Subject Matters Experts on matters requiring escalation or business input with a focus on a quick turn-around.
- Develop internal knowledge resources, corporate tools, playbooks, processes, and guidelines
- Provide training sessions for internal stakeholders on legal clauses, internal procedures, best practices and negotiation positions
- Route reviewed contracts for signatures, upload signed contracts to company’s contract repository system
You are a detail-oriented individual with a Bachelor's Degree in Law and at least two years of post-graduation experience handling international contracts across multiple jurisdictions. You are confident in your ability to independently draft and manage contract reviews and negotiations. Your excellent communication skills enable you to articulate complex terms in a clear and precise manner. You thrive on collaboration, effectively building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels. Organized and agile, you can juggle multiple tasks while maintaining a focus on delivering quality outcomes. Your sound business judgment is matched by your proficiency in MS Office Suite, making you a well-rounded candidate for this role.Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (required).
- Minimum of 2 years post-graduation experience as a lawyer with exposure to international contracts under multiple jurisdictions (required).
- Proven work experience as a procurement contract specialist
- Experience with Contract Management workflow and systems
- Experience independently drafting contracts, managing contract reviews and negotiating contract terms and conditions.
- Must possess, excellent written, comprehension and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese languages. Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner.
- Japanese language proficiency is desired (nice to have).
- Must possess a strong attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration skills with ability to build effective relationships and influence internal and external stakeholder groups of varying levels of seniority.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize, organize and multitask in an agile and fast paced environment.
- Demonstrate good business judgement
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite
