Graphic DesignerDepartment: Marketing & CreativeEmployment Type: Permanent - Full TimeLocation: ChinaDescriptionAbout the roleSun King is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Graphic Designer based in Shenzhen, China, with strong expertise in packaging design and a solid foundation in visual communication. Familiarity with electrical and energy product design is beneficial. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented designer with strong design judgment, creative thinking, and a dedication to visual storytelling. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working efficiently and capable of producing impactful design assets that engage audiences across global markets.You will play a key role in driving Sun King's packaging initiatives and broader graphic design needs, working in coordination with our Research & Development, Quality Assurance, New Product Development, and Marketing teams. Your work will directly contribute to our mission to deliver clean, affordable solar energy to millions of households and businesses across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and beyond.You will be accountable for developing packaging concepts from idea to production across a wide portfolio of solar-powered products for global markets. You will also contribute to the creation of brand and marketing assets for print and digital use, enabling Sun King to maintain a consistent and compelling visual identity as it continues to grow internationally.What you will be expected to do
  • Manage multiple tasks within a large organization and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with diverse stakeholders.
  • Apply precision and consistency when working on packaging and design assets, following directions and brand standards accurately.
  • Design, edit, and adapt packaging (outer carton and related materials), manuals, flyers, POSM materials, and internal documents for various markets, formats, and print requirements based on provided briefs or templates.
  • Develop packaging concepts primarily for Sun King-branded products and occasionally for partner-branded channels.
  • Work jointly with designers across experience levels to improve the quality of creative work, exchange ideas constructively, and deliver high-impact output.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams-including Product Development, Research & Procurement, Marketing, Quality Assurance, and Project Management-to clarify specifications, integrate feedback, and ensure thorough content review.
  • Participate in design review sessions, document feedback, and implement revisions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Conduct quality checks on design deliverables to ensure they are error-free, on-brand, and delivered on schedule.
  • Maintain and organize design assets, ensuring proper version control and accessibility across multiple projects.
  • Follow established packaging production processes, asset management protocols, and sign-off procedures in line with Sun King's standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate with the Senior Graphic Designer to apply creative enhancements based on market trends and stakeholder insights.
  • Stay current with brand guidelines and apply them consistently across all creative outputs.
You might be a strong candidate if you have
  • Degree, advanced degree, or diploma in Graphic Design.
  • At least 4 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in packaging and manual design.
  • Solid skills in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and GSuite (Slides, Docs, and Sites).
  • Basic knowledge of packaging, printing processes, or multilingual layouts is a plus.
  • Strong command of English, with effective communication and teamwork skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
