
Production & Capacity Planner

- Maintain and validate an accurate production capacity database for all supplier factories and products.
- Proactively identify the potential capacity constraints, production risks, and inefficiencies, driving timely resolutions.
- Collaborate directly with suppliers to address and resolve capacity-related challenges, ensuring on time shipments.
- Coordinate with Local Sourcing and US Demand Planning teams to reconcile tooling discrepancies and align production priorities.
- Generate and analyze the monthly forecast report, work closely with the overseas Supply Planning team to align the short-term and long-term capacity goals.
- Conduct weekly meetings with the overseas Planners to review demand forecasts, production status, and potential risks.
- Manage new program inquiries with suppliers and internal teams until BPO release, assisting teammates in resolving tooling or capacity issues during production.
- Lead monthly in-person reviews with suppliers to align on demand forecasts and capacity plans, securing firm commitments for execution.
- Conduct regular on-site factory visits to validate production capacity, assess risks (tooling, processes, overall capability), and ensure readiness for NWL product lines.
- Regular and timely data/file updates and maintenance.
- Bachelor's degree in a business field
- Experience managing supplier factory capacity and production planning best practices within retail or similar industry
- At least 5 years of experience in supplier production and production capacity planning role with a focus in (1) analyzing tooling, production and overall factory capacity; (2) order and pre-build production planning and (3) progress tracking with suppliers
- Analytical with a strong attention to detail and organization
- Independent thinker, problem solver and teammate
- Good written and verbal communication in Mandarin and English
- Strong sense of urgency and accountability to resolve issues
- Proven ability to proactively identify business risks
- Honest, solid work ethic and self-motivated; individual must show a strong sense of accountability, urgency and ability to learn and resolve issues quickly and independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time
- Strong Excel skills
- Relevant SAP experience
- Experience using demand planning software solutions as well as spreadsheet/database applications for analyzing production forecasts and production capacity
- Past experience in outsourced manufacturing
- Experience working in a retail/consumer product production environment
