Advisor SalesBased in Shanghai – ChinaReporting Line: Senior Manager Portside SalesAbout the roleAs RT's portside business continues to grow, we are seeking a Port Sales professional to support our expanding operations. This role will focus on customer engagement, contract negotiation, and market development in collaboration with the Iron Ore PST team.Reporting to the Senior Manager Portside Sales, and working in a collaborative and exciting environment you will:Develop and maintain customer relationships and engagement plans.Negotiate and sign portside sales contracts.Identify new business opportunities with existing and potential customers.Support marketing plans and SME mill segment analysis.Provide tiered sales solutions based on customer segmentation.Ensure contract performance and resolve customer issues effectively.Collaborate with ports for logistics and marketing.Deliver market intelligence and pricing insights.Independently manage 10–15% of annual sales targets.About youTo be successfully considered for this role, you will have:Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing, Economics, Finance, Geosciences, or Engineering.Fluent in Mandarin and English.5–7 years of sales experience.Strong communication and influencing skills.Preferred background in Steel, Mining, Shipping, or Commodity industries.Experience in cargo/scheduling handling is a plus.Where you will be workingYou will be based in our office in Shanghai.Since Rio Tinto established its first office in Beijing almost 40 years ago with just three people, the Group has built partnerships with China that span supply, innovation, knowledge transfer, culture and procurement.
