Our Global Security team is committed to creating a safe working environment for ADM colleagues, protecting assets, and maintaining our company's legal and regulatory responsibilities through the ethical application of industry standard mitigation strategies.
The Head of Security APAC is responsible for implementing and leading all aspects of ADM Global Security's core risk mitigation programs across the APAC region. The ideal candidate will be comfortable improving ADM's security risk profile through the deployment of industry standard methodology focused on positive aggregate outcomes customized to the specific security challenges present throughout their assigned geographic footprint. Essential to the role is a strong partnership with senior business leaders as well as consistent interaction with internal and external stakeholders such as facility managers, local and federal law enforcement and external security experts. This role will report directly to the VP Global Head of Security and directly manage teams in this area of operations.
  • Lead and coordinate the day to day operations and programmatic objectives in the APAC region.
  • Provide oversite of complex security programs, such as physical security, crisis management, life safety, and guard force management to protect our colleagues, reputation and assets.
  • Build and execute industry standard training programs to educate staff and colleagues while driving positive cultural change regarding security and safety.
  • Liaises with global program leaders and local business partners to ensure service delivery in all aspects of the department's goals.
  • Closely manages sensitive and confidential investigations and due diligence requests in concert with key internal investigative partners.
  • Execute a customized intelligence program to drive effective and optimized security operations.
  • Execute enterprise executive security program for local and incoming executive to the APAC region.
  • Conducts periodic, risk-based, local security assessments of company facilities, and relevant supply chain partners.
  • Assists in executing the complete business continuity lifecycle to ensure operational integrity during disruptive events.
  • Forges partnerships with key local, national and international law enforcement agencies working across the region.
  • Develops and presents strategic security plans for the services and programs in the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Develops and implements tabletop exercises for the regions crisis leadership team.
  • Engages project management in security initiatives involving decommissioning, acquisitions, renovations and new construction.
  • Delivers journey-specific threat assessments & mitigation strategies for all business travel in the APAC region.
  • Proactively collaborates with other business units & stakeholders (Operations, Human Resources, Global Business Services, Legal etc.) to resolve security threats or incidents.
  • Creates reporting metrics & data to support global security's strategy.
Your Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10-15+ years in security management, risk consulting, law enforcement, or military operations.
  • Proven experience managing teams, implementing security programs, and briefing senior leadership on sensitive threats.
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of project management, risk management, and integrated security/life safety systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in an additional Asian language is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% and work flexible hours, including weekends/holidays during crises.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • High professional integrity, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality and truth
