And we offer you the freedom to be a positive disrupter and turn big ideas into bold, industry-changing realities.For our business, for clients, and for youJob Responsibilities:The role duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:OperationsOverall responsibility for client relationship, inquiries and meetingsInteract with Senior management and clientsReview procedures and recommend solutions in order to improve efficienciesEnsure adherence to all internal and external audit standardsImplementation of fund structures onto accounting systemReview of constitutional documents and preparation of client SLA and budgetingOperational onboarding of new and take on funds and ensure everything has been prepared prior to the launch and take on dateSolving operational problems encountered by staff on a day-to-day basis as well as making complex decision making.Attendance in client meetings both at onboarding and launched stages.Staff development training and monitoring and completion of KRAs.Ongoing development of the business by liaising with the senior management and ensuring full communication from bottom up and implementation of new processes and controls as required.Ongoing Implementation and refinement of SSAE 16 controls.Ensuring client enquiries are answered in accordance with Apex service standards on an ongoing basis.Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and other requirements of the funds’ specifications.Planning and organizing workload and helping prioritization of deliverables.Ensuring best practice are adopted and improving processes to gain efficienciesAccounting:Review of Net Asset Valuation (NAV) files & consolidation account for a portfolio of managed funds/portfolio companies/ Property companies, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with fund governing and regulatory proceduresReview of Trial Balance, GL, Cash & portfolio reconciliation, Income & expense accruals and other reportsReview Limited Partner and General Partners/Shareholder Allocation, calculations/schedules -includes review of Admin/Management fees/Waterfall/Claw back calculations etc.Review of quarterly GST calculations, if applicableReview of Partner Capital Account StatementsReview of draft financial statementsLiaise with Auditors for timely completion of Financial AuditsInvestor Services:Review all capital activity pertaining to the funds (Capital calls and Distributions)Review of investor onboarding documents to ensure AML/KYC complianceResolve issues and communicate with investors ensuring all investor information is complete and up to dateReview periodic capital/NAV statementsOversee calculation and preparation of waterfall / carried interestReview regulatory reporting such as FATCA/CRSTeam Management:Review the work of team members and provide feedback for improvement in order to guarantee timely delivery and quality of workMonitor and track team performance and profitability in order to meet the client service level agreements and achieve financial targetsPlan resources in line with business demands, participate in the recruitment and selection process, lead, coach, develop and appraise employees within the teamEstablish plan for new client setup and transitionsKeep Senior Management abreast of all material issues affecting the processing of deliverablesAd-Hoc Reports requests and operation metrics as required by managementImplement training initiativesSkills Required:Bachelor or Master level degree in accounting6+ years of real estate fund accounting work experienceExperience in reviewing and preparing financial statementsExcellent communication skills and proficiency in English (both Verbal and written)Motivated, bright and diligent individual who is driven to meet deadlinesAttention to detail and ability to work on multiple projectsA team leader who can manage individual responsibilitiesAdvanced level MS excel, proficient with MS Word, MS PowerPointKnowledge and prior experience on Efront or yardi is a highly desirableA professional designation such a C.A., C.P.A., or C.M.A. etc., would be an assetWhat you will get in return:
