  • Oversee the entire project management lifecycle and achieve project KPI:
Requirement Management: Liaise with business units to define project objectives and scopes based on the business requirements. Project planning: Liaise with Project Working Committee (PWC) to define project plan, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and key milestones. Resources Coordination: Manage project budgets, internal and external resources, and increase project execution efficiency. Risk Management: Identify technical, compliance, budget and timeline risks, and work with the project stakeholders to define and implement the risk mitigation strategies. Project delivery: Ensure the project scopes are implemented following approved scope, solution, and timeline. Work with relevant stakeholders to define test strategy and plan, manage the SIT/UAT and other None-Functional Requirement (NFR) testing. Management reporting: Regularly report the project progress to the Project Steering Committee (PSC). Comply with the bank’s System Development Methodology (SDM) in the project lifecycle. Manage the project closure, documents handover and conduct analysis on the lesson learned.
  • Change Request (CR) Delivery:
Support and manage the local and regional CR delivery. Liaise with local business unit (BU) / supporting unit (SU), and relevant stakeholders to define CR scope, delivery plan and production deployment. Comply with bank’s CR delivery policy.
  • Vendor Management:
Manage the onsite vendor resources for project and CR delivery. Regularly review the vendor performance with relevant stakeholders. Manage the contract with the vendor and ensure the payment to the vendor is following the payment terms defined in the contract.
  • Technical Architecture, innovation, and compliance management:
Familiarity with the bank’s IT application architecture, (e.g. core banking, payment clearing, local downstream reporting etc.) to align technical solutions with business needs. Ensure the IT project and CR are delivered following the technical solutions approved by the bank’s Technical Architecture Governance Committee (TAGC). Stay updated on Fintech treads (e.g. AI, Blockchain, Big data, Cloud computing etc.) and drive adoption based on the bank’s needs where possible. Optimize the bank’s SDM process based on the group policy, project lesson learned and the best practice in the market. Support the bank’s internal audit (IA) for project and CR auditing.Job Qualifications:
  • Basic Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Fintech, Information technology and other related fields. 10+ years in IT project management in banking industry. (e.g. Core banking system, payment platforms, local regulatory reporting systems, trade and electronic draft system etc.) Experience in managing large-scale bank IT projects is a plus. Preferred certification: PMP, CSPM, NPDP etc. Be able to work in bilingual (Chinese and English) environment independently.
  • Technical Skills:
Familiarity with banking IT architecture and systems, at least one of the following: core banking systems (Deposit, Loan, Trade), Payment Platform, Regulatory Reporting, Electronic Draft System etc. Familiar with the project management related tools: JIRA, Confluence, MS project etc. Good knowledge of SDLC: Waterfall, Agile etc. Experience in deploying banking applications in the environment using RHEL, WebSphere, JBoss is a plus. Experience in Java application development is a plus.
