Conduct research and pre-development of innovative fluid machinery for automobile and household application, including refrigeration compressor, gear pump, etc.
Focus is on component design, simulation, validation and optimization
Work closely with corporate research hub in Renningen, Germany on project activities and competence development
Work closely with business units to supply cutting edge and competitive technology solutions and to transform them to products
Main responsibility includes:
Lead and participate research topic on novel fluid machinery concept, including requirement analysis, concept design, simulation and validation
Pursue technology excellence by contributing brilliant ideas to new product concepts including patent filing
Prove innovation concept by pre-development including design, simulation, prototyping, test and validation
Support project activities to transfer deliverables to business units successfully
Manage suppliers and lab facilities for sample construction
Qualifications
PhD degree in discipline of fluid machinery, fluid dynamics, engineering thermophysics or related majors. Knowledge on electrical vehicle thermal system and components are preferred
Expert knowledge and practical experiences in fluid machinery design, computational fluid dynamics, conjugate heat transfer, experiment design and experimental validation. Experiences in scroll compressor development is a plus
Proficient in mechanical design, FEM and CFD simulation based on commercial software (ANSYS, etc.) are necessary
Good at programming (Python, MATLAB, etc.)
Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (oral and written), German is a plus
International education and experience are a plus
Efficient, goal-oriented, structured working style, experienced in project work
Strong documentation and writing skills
Passionate for innovation, open to work in an international environment
