  • Conduct research and pre-development of innovative fluid machinery for automobile and household application, including refrigeration compressor, gear pump, etc.
  • Focus is on component design, simulation, validation and optimization
  • Work closely with corporate research hub in Renningen, Germany on project activities and competence development
  • Work closely with business units to supply cutting edge and competitive technology solutions and to transform them to products
Main responsibility includes:
  • Lead and participate research topic on novel fluid machinery concept, including requirement analysis, concept design, simulation and validation
  • Pursue technology excellence by contributing brilliant ideas to new product concepts including patent filing
  • Prove innovation concept by pre-development including design, simulation, prototyping, test and validation
  • Support project activities to transfer deliverables to business units successfully
  • Manage suppliers and lab facilities for sample construction
Qualifications
  • PhD degree in discipline of fluid machinery, fluid dynamics, engineering thermophysics or related majors. Knowledge on electrical vehicle thermal system and components are preferred
  • Expert knowledge and practical experiences in fluid machinery design, computational fluid dynamics, conjugate heat transfer, experiment design and experimental validation. Experiences in scroll compressor development is a plus
  • Proficient in mechanical design, FEM and CFD simulation based on commercial software (ANSYS, etc.) are necessary
  • Good at programming (Python, MATLAB, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (oral and written), German is a plus
  • International education and experience are a plus
  • Efficient, goal-oriented, structured working style, experienced in project work
  • Strong documentation and writing skills
  • Passionate for innovation, open to work in an international environment
