About our group:The Firmware & Test Engineering group is a global team dedicated to developing Seagate's HDD firmware and HDD/Systems testing processes. Collaborate with each functional team to enhance hard drive / Systems performance and yield, minimize test duration, and boost test process efficiency by designing new algorithm and improving current algorithmAbout the role - you will:
  • Develop Systems product test script in Python
  • Design and improve Systems Test Flow
  • Develop HDD Firmware and SelfTest platform in C/Python
  • Develop new algorithm to improve HDD SelfTest performance
  • Working with DC and factory teams to analyze, debug and improve HDD/Systems product yield and quality
About you:
  • Bachelor or above. Knowledge of Science or Engineering
  • Good understanding of embedded firmware & software architecture
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to use verbal and written communication in English
  • Can work independently, innovative, disciplined, Active, self-motivative, A positive attitude for work and willingness to accept challenges
  • Good logical ability, strong learning ability and good problem-solving skills
  • Down-to-earth attitude with good teamwork
Your experience includes:
  • C language programming
  • Python language programming
  • Troubleshooting, analyzing, designing and debugging embedded system
  • Cross-functional team working
You May Also Have
  • Data analysis and processing skill
  • Knowledge of SAS or SATA
  • Knowledge of Storage System
