
Drivetrain Component Design Engineer

- Lead shaft and driveline component design, including but not limited to collect VOC, discuss and align requirements, 3D modeling, structure FEA analysis, design verification, 2D drawing, field follow, tear down, failure analysis, etc.
- Lead shaft and driveline component development, include but not limited to work w/ purchasing on quote and review, comprehensively assess the supply base and propose supplier, APQP, proceed Gateway review for sourcing decision, lead the development and validation, review PPAP, etc.
- Provide engineering support to drivetrain shaft and driveline component localization and development
- Closely work with global cross function team, including but not limited to Drivetrain system engineering team, NPI team, global engineering experts, purchasing team, receiving facility quality team, receiving facility manufacturing team, supply chain team, supplier, etc. to deliver qualified drivetrain components for the broad machine products
- Demonstrate strong customer focus to meet customer needs from PQVC by applying new technology, designing new component, improving manufacturing processes/methods, etc.
- The job involve global team night meeting and 10%-25% travel based on project need
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills

- Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges. Drivetrain product development or excellent analytical experience. Ability to gain a mastery of complex engineering and manufacturability concepts.
- Computer-Aided Design & Engineering: Knowledge of tools and techniques of specialized graphics programs; ability to produce, analyze, simulate and test product design drafts.
- Product Design : Knowledge of processes, approaches, tools and techniques of product design; ability to convert customer and market requirements into product design.
- Product Design and Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.
- Drivetrain system and related components design and manufacturing experiences, especially for rotating component
- Strong design and analysis capability
- Good knowledge of drivetrain system include torque converter, transmission and axle, etc.
- Strong presentation skill
- Manufacturing knowledge and experience on forging, HT, machining, inspection
