GATES Engineer

• Overall responsibilities and duties:
• Participate in the development of special production processes and technologies as well as steering and releasing the definition of specification requirements for the production equipment and fixtures.
• Monitoring the processes design, qualification, built up and initiating of improvement measures.
• Responsibility for improvements regarding production equipment technology.
• The main missions of the role are:
• A Equipment and Fixtures
• Participate in the development of special production processes and technologies taking the market development into account and check new and existing processes, equipment, machines and technologies for their suitability and applicability as set by Hella specific constrains and legal requirements
• Qualification, adapt and apply of approved processes for new equipment, machines and fixtures
• Steering and executing the definition of specifications for process specific production equipment and maintenance processes
• Involvement in the supplier selection for process specific production equipment
• Supervising a set up of the process specific production equipment together with the involved partners
• Determination and documentation of the process parameters and limits
• Release and change of process parameters in accordance with the Hella network regulations
• Monitoring of the specific processes in the running production and implementation of improvement measures if possible directly, otherwise initiation and leading an improvement project in alignment with further departments

• Support or realization of basic investigations for new processes in cooperation with technology development and global functions
• Released DfA moderator to evaluate new product designs regarding all technologies
• B Projecting
• Leading of project teams for any kind of product / product family related cost improvements

• Experience :

• More than 3 years' experience in Engineering or Manufacturing in Automotive sector (Car manufacturer/Tier)

• Experience in project management

• Familiar with HELLA's process and system is preferred

• Skills and competencies

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment

• Knowledge in manufacturing process, have certain process design ability, understand the automation equipment

• English fluent
