You will also have access to our R&D Academy, designed to develop our team and allow you to grow in our great organisation.About the roleA great opportunity to be a part of a fast paced and dynamic team, where you'll be empowered to technically lead multiple categories and brands under germ protection and household care categories - you will use your product development and delivery experience to work on exciting and fast paced projects. You will also lead multiple teams based in different place to build on team management and leadership.Your responsibilities
  • Working as part of the Product Delivery and Maintenance (PDM) Germ Protection and Household team with the corresponding global Category Development Organization (CDO) and global R&D Innovation teams to deliver new revenue protection (NRP), new revenue growth (NRG) and Gross Margin Expansion/Improvement (GME/GMI) projects under Germ protection and Household categories in an efficient, cost effective and timely manner.
  • Brands under scope includes but not limited to: Lysol, Vanish, Woolite, Harpic, Aerogard and etc.
  • Responsible countries include Great China (GC) including China mainland, Hongkong and Taiwan as well as Korea and Japan which are now clustered with GC as a bigger region called GC+NA (North Asia)
  • Be able to handle independently big/complex projects with interaction with multiple cross functions and stakeholders
  • Efficiently and effectively communicate/cooperate with cross functionals on the daily work basis to deal with regular requests and support needed from technical side
  • Project managing technical workstreams with technical, chemical and executional complexity as well as speed to market challenges.
  • Working in the laboratory on formulation and validation testing in a safe and efficient manner to drive performance and claim substantiation.
  • Proactively build a good team and assist team members on their personal and career development
  • Actively participate in global PDM programs and contribute
  • Managing and guiding EMO's on the requirements, formulation, development and testing in line with Success Criteria, COGs targets and manufacturability.
  • To have an overview of consumer needs and insights and be passionate on consumers and new trends to inspire new ideas generation
The experience we're looking for
  • Must be qualified to degree standard in a relevant scientific discipline, ideally Chemistry or Science
  • Sufficient experience in laboratory, familiar with general equipment and know how to operate, professional on lab management, 5S, QMS and etc.
  • Technical expertise and curiosity with a passion for problem solving and delivery. A proven track record of results.
  • A good understanding of the R&D development process from end to end in FMCG industry, good at RD project management.
  • Action focused and results oriented mindset with strong problem solving skills.
  • Good communication skills coupled with good analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Have great collaboration skills, be a good team player, a personable person with a creative and open attitude and action focus.
  • Sufficient experience of managing teams and proven to be a good team leader.
