Software Applications EngineeringGeneral Summary:Job Function:We are looking for talented software engineers to join Qualcomm's Customer Gaming Support team. In this role, you will focus on enabling and optimizing Gaming Frame Rate Conversion (FRC) features on Snapdragon-based customer products.You will work closely with OEMs to land and commercialize advanced gaming features, helping deliver smooth and responsive gaming experiences on mobile devices.Responsibilities:Support OEMs in commercializing Gaming FRC and related features such as Frame Interpolation and Super Resolution on Snapdragon platforms. Assist with debugging and resolving integration issues, including compilation, functionality, and validation. Collaborate with internal development teams to evaluate features and drive issue resolution. Work with customers on performance tuning, power optimization, and feature validation. Provide technical support for customer requests, including documentation, testing, and competitive analysis.Skills & Experience:Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming. Excellent communication skills and a strong team player. Fast learner with high motivation and problem-solving ability. Experience in Android system integration or multimedia frameworks is a plus. Familiarity with game rendering technologies or game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) is a plus. Experience with performance/power analysis tools is a plus. Passion for gaming and familiarity with popular mobile games is a plus. Ability to read and write technical documents in English; good verbal communication is a plus.Education Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
- 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.
