About the job Logistic Specialist
  • Provide logistics operations support in compliance with related policies and external regulations.
  • Support vendor import, export and in-region transfer shipments in Asia.
  • Communicate and execute logistics process with vendors, carriers, and XFNs, prepare Commercial Invoice, Packing List and other shipping related documents if needed.
  • Support to prepare product data sheet and obtain HTS codes by coordinating with vendors, ENG/TPM/EPS and TradeOps, facilitate with classification and importation check communications.
  • Operate OTM system to tender out shipments to forwarders, check and maintain correct tendering data, support to resolve data issues.
  • Support shipment importation and in-region transfer by coordinating with vendors, brokers, carriers and XFNs, facilitate to collect shipment documents, and communicate regional importation process.
  • Support in-region and international shipments.
  • Communicate regional specific shipping process with stakeholders, execute shipments between facilities by placing booking to carriers and preparing shipping documents.
  • Identify exceptional cases and follow escalation process to engage Trade, Legal, TradeOps, Tax, Finance, FAC Ops, EPS for business case review.
  • Coordinate shipment deliveries into facilities by working with XFNs and service providers, follow FAC Ops and EPS guidelines.
  • Engage and interface with vendors, forwarders and stakeholders.
  • Support vendor on-boarding and implementations, support execution of good vendor and forwarder relationships and ensure logistics operations are high-quality performed.
  • Collaborate, align with and support subject matter XFNs (Security, Trade Ops, Legal, FAC Ops) to ensure operational compliance, integrated planning and execution.
  • Participate in meetings with XFNs and 3rd parties to address customs requirements and issues.
  • Monitor shipments and forwarder performance.
  • Monitor shipments via air, ocean, road, freight and parcels on daily basis, measure forwarder performance by predefined KPIs such as OTD.
  • Validate shipment report data with vendors and carriers, communicate updates to stakeholders, facilitate shipment on-time deliveries.
  • Identify and proactively address exceptions that require immediate attention or corrective action, strive for continuous improvement to reach desired performance level.
  • Create reports and support documentation.
  • Maintain, manage and distribute incoming data, notifications and alerts, and provide timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition.
  • Collect data and create shipment tracking reports, prepare presentations of logistics related information, utilize systems and tools to analyze shipment data, assess logistics service performance.
  • Provide administration support across logistics to ensure efficient execution, including but not limited to documentation, record keeping and cross-checking.
  • Support quarterly business review with forwarders; data and report consolidation for quarterly business review.
  • Support freight cost management.
  • Support to request for quotation for ad hoc shipments, execute shipments with approved freight rates, ensure results and propose operational/cost optimizations.
  • Document and train new hires on regional and global processes.
